Duddington-with-Fineshade Parish Council Annual Parish Meeting and Annual General Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting of Duddington-with-Fineshade Parish Council will be held on Wednesday 20th May 2015 at the Village Hall, Duddington commencing at 7:30 pm.

The meeting is open to all registered electors in the Parish so that they may raise issues and direct questions to the Council.  Any decisions reached at the meeting are not binding on the Council; however, the Council may discuss these matters at future meetings.

The meeting will be followed by the Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council.

Duddington with Fineshade Parish Council election Thursday 7th May

On Thursday 7th May there will be an election for seven Councillors to represent the Duddington Village ward of Duddington with Fineshade Parish Council.

There are nine candidates standing:

  • Marcus Gilman
  • Richard Holder
  • James (Jim) Hurst
  • James Maunder- Taylor
  • Jane Noton
  • Sandie Pardons
  • Maggie Scott
  • Rae Spencer- Jones

The member for the Fineshade ward is standing unopposed, therefore, Fineshade will not have an election.

 

New rector at Duddington

Duddington’s new Rector, Mark Battinson, is now well-settled in and will be taking his first service in Duddington on Sunday next, 4 May at the usual time of 9.30am.

The church would really like to welcome him with a good congregation and hope that many of our friends will be able to join us.

A view from the Bridge (Arthur Miller) – Stamford Shoestring Theatre

Stamford Shoestring Theatre is the award-winning, resident drama company at Stamford Arts Centre.

Shoestring’s forthcoming production is ‘A View from the Bridge’ by Arthur Miller – arguably America’s finest post-war dramatist.

Performances run from Tuesday 11th to Saturday 15th March.
